Drilling deep holes up to 4m

A deep hole is classified on the basis of a depth-to-diameter ratio of at least 10: 1 (with a minimum diameter of 10mm). Deep hole drilling is used in many industrial applications, but its origin comes from the need to drill very accurate and straight barrels, where the depth-to-diameter ratio can exceed 20: 1 (with a maximum diameter of 150mm and a length of up to 4000mm).

Screw segments of laboratory twin screw extruders

The process of co-rotating twin screw extrusion is widely used in research and production processes. Multiple operations, including solids transfer, melting, pressure build-up, degassing and shaping, can be performed simultaneously in one process. The segmented auger elements may be configured to meet the processing requirements of multiple recipes using the same set of auger segments. However, this kind of unlimited flexibility is only meaningful if the geometry and operating conditions used to enter the formula are properly selected. How to optimize the choice of screw geometry and processing conditions?

New vulcanization lines

The innovative furnaces that are the subject of the offer enable the vulcanization of rubber in the field of infrared radiation - this ensures an effective process in terms of cross-linking time, product quality and process costs. ZAMAK MERCATOR has developed new lines for vulcanization of rubber and silicone, including: IR blast furnace and IR tunnel furnaces. Tunnel furnaces enable the vulcanization process to be carried out with the use of infrared heaters and can be used for the production of profiles of very different shapes. A key feature of these devices is the ability to control the atmosphere inside the furnace. During operation, the furnace can be filled with an inert gas, e.g. nitrogen (N2), thanks to which the influence of atmospheric oxygen on the vulcanized product is reduced to a minimum.

Zamak Mercator 2022 calendar

Ladies and Gentlemen, 2021 was undoubtedly the year that will go down in the pages of our history. The ongoing COVID19 coronavirus pandemic was not conducive to the stable development of many companies in our industry, both on the Polish and foreign market, and newer and newer sanitary restrictions and recommendations made it difficult to nurture interpersonal and business relationships.

Laboratory stands for granulation: Research stands for granulation with water cooling
The test bench helps to optimize the development process by allowing the properties of the granules to be tested. The stand is designed to test materials that can be cut with cooling water. The key device having a decisive impact on the possibility of conducting research is a laboratory twin-screw extruder. In the basic version, the station is offered with a twin-screw extruder from the Vertex II series, model RES-2PM 2x24mm, and optionally with an extruder from the Vertex II series, model RES-2PM 2x20mm. These extruders have unparalleled possibilities in terms of offered parameters, equipment and configuration options. The extruders offered can be made in versions for processing plastics, food and acid-resistant versions used in pharmacy or for testing ceramic materials. The modular structure of the devices included in the test stand allows for changes in the configuration of the devices during use. The test stand can be equipped with any twin-engine or single-screw laboratory extruder from Zamak Mercator's offer. Extruders can be equipped with dosing systems for powders, granules, liquids and other devices from the Zamak Mercator offer
Food extruders: REF-45
Today, food producers make sure that their products are tasty, safe and convenient to use. Among the new technologies of food processing, extrusion [extrusion] can be distinguished. The product obtained in this way is characterized by a varied texture, shape and color. The REF-45 laboratory food extruder has been designed to conduct research in the areas of the applicability of the extrusion technique in agri-food processing. The extruder enables research on the production of food, including gluten-free food, pasta, instant products, porridges and instant gruel, feed, animal food. The extruder enables research on Textured Vegetable Protein. It is possible to study the use of extruders of various configurations in food processing, as well as the production and testing of the properties of starch biopolymers as modern materials, and to assess the impact of processing conditions on their properties.
