Laboratory test lines
The laboratory extruders and associated equipment manufactured by Zamak Mercator allow for conducting a wide range of testing on plastic materials, especially difficult to process, filled with powders and fibres. Thank to their work parameters, both parallel twin-screw as well as conical open a new chapter in the study of polymers. It is possible, depending on the needs, to create one of the following testing stands from manufactured laboratory machines:

If the specifics of the planned testing requires the extension of the basic configuration, each laboratory line can be retrofitted with additional machinery and equipment. Individual laboratory line configuration is also possible, taking into account the uniqueness of conducted testing.
We also offer high accuracy volumetric and gravimetric dispensers for supplying extruders with plastic material and additives. Dispenser, according to the needs supply both granulate and powders.
Parallel twin-screw extruder
Parallel twin-screw extruders are the most commonly used key line element responsible for plastic material homogenization. Properly chosen screw geometry allows processing a wide range of plastic materials.
Conical twin-screw extruder
Conical twin-screw extruders are used on lines - as module or integrated extruder with a drive - where the most important criterion is the possibility of intensive processing of small and very small quantities of polymers.
Pump for plastic material
This part of the line is responsible for the accurate dosage of plastic material to the head while maintaining preset pressure. The pump for plastic material removes pulsation of molded plastic material which affects the dimensional stability of the extruded element.
Depending on the conducted testing, the extruder can be equipped with a head for strand (strands), bands, close or open profile, foil or fibre. The head connection to the pump or extruder is a simple-to-use wedge closure.
A bath is used for cooling the molded element in the form of strand, band or profile. Constant, low temperature of water in a closed or open circuit allows efficient heat dissipation. The bath is typically equipped with tracking rollers and a dryer.
Laser diameter meter
The laser meter measures the diameter of extruded circular cross-section profiles , in two axes continuously. The measurement is also displayed on the line control panel.
Caterpillar haul-off is the part of the line responsible for receiving the extruded profile. Accurately controlled linear speed allows very precise dimensional control.
A granulator cuts the extruded strand or strands. Granules of any length can be obtained by controlling the rotational speed of the cutting rotor and feeding rollers.
Fibers stretch device
The desired thickness of fibers extruded from the filler head can be achieved by stretching them on heated or cooled pallets of the stretching device. The device can be integrated with a twin spindle winder and meter counter.
