New miniature laboratory lines from the Minilab series

New miniature laboratory lines from the Minilab series

Innovative projects as a result of implementation are to provide buyers with new adapted machines. Thanks to them, tasks are to be performed faster, better, more conveniently or cheaper. With our equipment, you can achieve reliable scale-up, reduced time-to-market. Minilab extrusion lines are ideal for research and development in the polymer, pharmaceutical, biology and nanotechnology sectors. Pharmaceutical manufacturers need accurate and reliable miniature twin-screw extruders that they can rely on to create new blends of API materials. Our instruments meet a wide range of process requirements, even with the most difficult formulations. The lines can be supervised and serviced via Ethernet [Internet] and controlled wirelessly from a tablet

Miniature laboratory lines and research stations from the Minilab series.

Zamak Mercator's offer includes models of miniature single- and twin-screw extruders with screw diameters of 12 mm and 2x12 mm. Among them there are devices designed and built to customer's special order and therefore adapted to the customer's requirements and needs. The extruder is accompanied by other devices, such as extrusion heads, cooling tanks , measuring devices, filament winders, granulatorsThese devices can be part of personalized research stands, laboratory linesThanks to the cooperation of our clients such as Polish and foreign universities and research centers of production companies, unique technical solutions have been createdOur constructors cooperate with our clients to design testing machines that meet their specific needsProducts made to measure, with the cooperation of the client, are distinguished not only by their original design, but above all by functionality, ergonomics and excellent technical parameters.

Laboratory single-screw and twin-screw extruders

Laboratory extruders from the Minilab series provide scientists with a high ability to reproduce and design industrial processes in a research laboratory. Due to the high complexity of the extrusion process, a research extruder should have all the capabilities of industrial extruders and even exceed them, especially in terms of available functions and additional equipment and repeatable in terms of adjustments and measurements. Preparation time for subsequent tests is minimized. In the practice of a research laboratory, meeting such an assumption means that in a short time the extruder must reach and stabilize the working parameters set by the scientist.

We offer two basic models of Minilab series extruders, available in many configurations.

  • RES-2PM 12 mm Minilab single-screw extruders

  • RES-2PB Minilab twin-screw extruders

  • Optional equipment for cooperation with electric micro injection molding machines RIM-20/1250, pneumatic RWM-20/800, RWM-16/1000, WT-11/1200

The first key factor determining the quality and credibility of research on the extrusion process is the control and reliable measurement of temperature in each zone of the extruder. The second important factor is the technical parameters and the ability to adapt the device to research on various materials.
Laboratory extruders for plastics Zamak Mercator are distinguished by high efficiency, durable construction, low energy consumption, and additionally they take up little valuable space.

Winders with digital stacker and universal roller lashings.

Winders with a digital stacker NK-200/50 and NK-200/25 and universal roller lashings OR-60/50 and OR-60/25 form a complete set of devices They ensure transport and precise winding of the extruded profile on spools If the devices work together in a testing line are controlled from one touch screen Optionally, each device can be controlled from its own touch screen.
Winders and extraction are designed to work in mini lab lines extruding profiles.
The winders are equipped with a digital stacker driven by a stepper motor.
The winders work with a roller haul-off which is equipped with a tension force compensator ensuring constant tension.

Winder with digital stacker NK-200/50 and NK-200/25

This device enables the winding of the profile in the technological line. The winder is adapted to winding the product on spools with a diameter of 200 [mm].
The reel mounting mechanism is equipped with easy-to-use clamps. The spool of the winder is driven by a modern digital drive.A digital layerer driven by a stepper motor was used to lay the profile on the spool. The use of a digital layerer extends the functions of the winder and enables programming of such functions as: diameter of the wound profile, spool width, position of the layerer for changing the spool. tension force compensation
All functions of the winder are controlled from an independent touchscreen operator panel equipped with a digital PLC controller. Thanks to this, the device can work independently or in a line. The use of a touchscreen facilitates operation, because the operator is not forced to approach the main operator panel.

Universal roller lashing OR-60/50 and OR-60/25

This device ensures transport of the extruded (extruded) profile. Roller lashing is a universal solution, because it enables the transport of profiles with different cross-sections. The lashing is an important element of the line, because it is often responsible for the dimensional accuracy of the profile. diameter measurements are analyzed by a digital line control system. Thanks to this, the extraction speed can be adjusted in such a way as to ensure the dimensional stability of the extruded profile. The extraction unit is equipped with a modern digital BLDC drive, which ensures reliable and stable operation. The extraction unit is equipped with a safety system.
All functions of the extraction are controlled from an independent touch panel operator [the device can therefore work independently of the line] and the main panel of the line.

Cooling tub with vacuum calibrator.

Filament (e.g. 3D printing line) extruded by the head goes into a tub with water The extruded material is cooled in it The key element of the hot tub is the calibrator, which makes the filament of one shape and diameter The calibrator, operating under vacuum, stabilizes the dimension of the obtained profile and controls that the diameter deviation did not exceed the value of +/- 0.05 mm The calibrator has replaceable mouthpieces of different diameters and a position adjustment mechanism in two axes, which ensures the possibility of its precise positioning in relation to the extruder head, which is an extremely important factor for the quality of the filament The calibrator is equipped with a vacuum pump with the possibility of fine adjustment that requires compressed air.

Measuring devices perform non-contact online measurement using a laser scanner.

Depending on the version, the devices can perform measurements: single-axis [X axis], two-axis [XY axis], three-axis [XYZ axis] They are used to measure and control the diameter of: filaments, rods, plastic tubes and metal wires, glass, etc. Display can simultaneously show the average value measured in the XYZ axesThe meters are integrated in terms of automation with Minilab lines manufactured by Zamak Mercator.
